The Alley Cat 22LR is C.A.T.’s full titanium rimfire silencer. With no barrel length restrictions, this little guy can quiet down bolt action and semi-auto firearms to a kitten’s whisper. At just 3.3 ounces in weight, it is one of the lightest rimfire suppressors available and is suited for use on both pistols and rifles. The weight and sound signature reduction is achieved through additive manufacturing, allowing for performance not found in traditionally manufactured silencers.
With .22 LR, users can enjoy themselves shooting higher volumes. As long as the Alley Cat 22LR remains under 650F, the silencer will hold up to abuse. Hitting that temperature generally requires full-auto use, or significantly hotter calibers such as 5.7. If you do need to push the envelope and run some 5.7 then please keep it to under 20 rounds a minute. Higher rates of fire will cause premature degradation of the suppressor but are acceptable in situations that require action for the immediate preservation of life.
When new, the Alley Cat 22LR will experience white sparking due to microscopic titanium dust from the manufacturing process. This will dramatically dissipate with use, but will never fully disappear on some combinations of host and ammo. If low-light conditions are expected, the use of a brand-new suppressor is discouraged. Sometimes an old trusted friend is a better option, and the Alley Cat line is designed to stand by your side mission after mission.
